Description

1.Necessity.

Incompatibility due to size of TRS straight jacks that protrude too much for the required application.
From a size of 50mm to 20mm.

2. Solution.
Manufacture with MDF printer (Fused Deposition Modeling) an angled housing where the standard commercial TRS ¼" connector can be adapted.

3. Manufacturing steps.

3.1. Connector measurements.

We start from a standard TRS connector of ¼", 6.3 mm Ø.
Wide part where thread 10.9 mm Ø

3.2. Design and printing of parts
A set of 3 parts is designed to facilitate the assembly and sealing of the connector after soldering the wires.

3.2.1. Part 1 JACK
Piece with measures that allow to house the connector and bend the pin to hold the cable and solder the ground.
Printed pin in PLA 0.15 layer height with supports.

3.2.2. Part 2 JACK TOP
Lid to cover and fit with the bottom piece.
The protrusion on the circular part pushes the JAKC to stay in position and fit.
The other protrusions to fit the JAKC without any possibility of displacement.

3.2.3. Piece 3 Open clamping ring
The ring allows the two parts to be joined together.
The cut in the piece allows, given the elasticity of the material, the opening for the passage of the cable and its placement.

3.3. Finished product.
