Description

After printing both versions of the center case that supported the addition of the hydrometer, I realized that while the second case looked better aesthetically it did not function well due to the lack of airflow around the unit.

Remixed the unit to allow for airflow around it for more accurate readings of the environment, and remixed the lid to correct for the size difference between the middle compartment and the outer ones on the AMS.

I ran both hydrometer version tests (original 1, and this one), and the readings were consistently inline with each other when changing environments.

Print in place with no supports, at normal speed and standard material settings. I did mine in PLA.

NOTE: Added an untested fix to account for the fins that were reportedly added to the front of the newer version of the AMS. Uploaded as a secondary model/stl file.

Useful! Keep in mind, you will have to remove the 2 middle filament spools in order to insert & remove it from the AMS. It took just a few minutes indicate 12% humidity after closing the AMS lid. Wow, very effective with just one of these & the standard 2 desiccant slots filled with one standard silica packet each. I will no longer feel bad about frequent filament spool changes.

Clean and simple print. For those in the UK, the "Thlevel 3-Pack Hygrometer" on Amazon fits well: https://amzn.eu/d/eqhJdwR One suggestion would be to make the inner edge of the two side holes (closest to the main body) solid to help with the bridging.

Came out great. Printed in PLA+ at .20mm layers on X1C with .4mm nozzle on engineering plate. No adhesion issues, hygrometer fits perfect. No supports needed. Total print time was 1h25m50s and used 29.11g of filament.

Excellent. Fits perfectly in the AMS. You can ignore the warnings in the Bambu slicer about needing support material. It works perfectly well without supports.
