Description

An enclosed spool for a 13mm (0.5in) wide soft tape up to 150cm (60") comprised of four pieces: an inner and and outer top and bottom.

 

Assembly Instructions

  1. Place the inner bottom piece down on a flat surface.
  2. Fit the outer bottom piece over the inner bottom piece.
  3. Place the end of your soft tape into the slot on the inner bottom piece.
  4. Fit the outer top piece in place by pressing it into the matching groove on the bottom piece.
  5. Place the inner top piece onto the spool assembly, taking care to line up the slot for the end of the soft tape. Press firmly to secure.

NOTE: The pins on the bottom piece often break when attempting to take the inner pieces apart. Do NOT join the inner pieces until final assembly.

Took a little muscle to click together but it comes together great! Accidentally broke it the first time and had to reprint two pieces.

Other Issues:The outside parts fit nicely, and the inner parts fit into the outer parts well, but the inside parts do not fit together at all, so the whole model cannot be put together without modifications. I would suggest making the snapping lock mechanism thinner so it can actually flex to fit into the hole.

@FancyBananaMan Hello, sorry you're having troubles. Please try pressing the two pieces together against a hard flat surface. I did not design the joinery, only remixed it to this design. The original designer intended for this joint to be stiff and permanent.
