Description

I found a nice 3D-printable christmas tree/card in 2017. Since it had french text and a few other features I wanted differently, I decided to rebuild the model from scratch in Blender. I have been giving out this card to friends and family since :)

Now that I have my Bambu X1C with AMS, I again redid the model to multicolor, using white and gold filament.

The Blender file, various part STLs and the greeting / instruction card (PDF) are included for you to adapt it to your likes.

Other materials required

  • a regular wooden pencil. The model is sized for a 7mm hex pencil from HEMA (an NL household store).

Update 2023-10-17: the .blend file had gone missing, now added.

Update 2023-10-23: added a proxy for the HEMA pencil in the files section, see pencil.stl

You need to modify the .blend file (with the app Blender) and generate a new base.stl. Do you know how to do that? If not, can you let met know what text you want? I could generate you a new stl file for the base. A quick tutorial: https://www.instructables.com/How-To-3D-Print-Text/ or here: https://all3dp.com/2/blender-text-to-mesh-tutorial/ (the remeshing step is not a requirement)

Update: I added a remix with "Merry Christmas" and "Happy New Year" as text. Edit: the remix now also has base STLs with German text :)

Could you please put the stick (instead of pencil) in the file for printing? That would help me a lot. Great model!!! I would like to print and am looking forward to it

Hi Susi-knalltüte, I added an STL with a stick that has the same dimenstions as the pencils I use. I also updated the 3mf and blend files.
