Description

Used to mount Polymaker filaments onto Bambu's original spool,to avoid jams in AMS. Other brands of cardboard spool should work but are untested.

Installation is very simple. Please follow the process below:

1 Open Bambu filament spool holder.

2 Rip the baffle off the side of the spool, taking care not to let the filament come loose.

3 Insert half of the Bambu original spool into the centre of the Polymaker's spool.

4 Carefully flip the combo over and tear off the other half of the barrier.

5 Insert the adapter into the slit in the paper tube. Note that there are several notches that need to be aligned.

6 Installing the other half of the spool.

Then you are done.

 

It is worth mentioning that if you happen to have original Bambu filament of the same material and colour, you can keep the original RFID and insert it into the middle of the paper tube before assembling the tray, so that the AMS will be able to automatically identify the colour and material of the filaments, and the leftover of filament on the screen will be refreshed if the previous filament were used up normally.

It was not fit so good with my printed AMS Spool and the Polymaker Filament. Have to look for an other one, sorry.

Hello,I just found that inner rolls of Polymaker spool is vary considerably in different series. It can fit my PETG inner roll perfectly, but it's loose on my ABS roll. Don't worry it can still work if it is loose in my tests.
