Bracket-style model

Dougong, also known as douku, douke, toukeng, puzuo, etc., is a unique structural element in Chinese architecture. It is a layer of curved projections added to the beams above the columns, between the lintel and the eaves, or between the frames. The load-bearing structure is called gong, and the square wooden blocks between the gongs are called dou, collectively known as dougong.
