Description

EDIT:

I designed the second version where you can use a hex head M6 bolt as a handle, Print: Pin for m6 bolt, m6 head, and insert, it screws nicely together. It doesn't add any strength to the lock, it just looks nicer :)

I needed a simple lock just to keep the doors closed, so why not design it and print one, (actually I needed 3 ;))

This lock is fully 3D printed and doesn't need gluing or other parts (you need screws to mount it)

I printed it using these settings:

0.4mm nozzle

0.16mm layer height

3 walls

35% cubic infill

no need for support

all models are in the right orientation to print.

Just put in your slicer and print :)

hope you like it.

I put 2 of those on my shed and the hold very nice, check test video:

In your experience, which part seems to be the weakest in that setip? the bolt itself should be reasonable sturdy due to its print orientiation, an it could be easily enforced with a threaded steel rod insert. but how do the lock parts actually hold up?

I design second verions, where you can use M6 bolt. To be honest I can see any weak points. I tested it and my shed will fall before the locks, you can check it in the video :) https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Sl8IZZSFVR8
