Loved rowiac's model but there were a couple things i needed to change to make it work for me. I needed a larger compartment, the compartments needed to open further and I needed a way to make it easier to put my pills in.

I relieved the tolerances on the compartment lids to allow them to open further.

I added a convertable option to remove the covers all together while putting in the pills.

Increased the compartment size .

Changed the hinge material to 1.7mm metal rod so it would hold up better and changed the end caps for the hinges to 3x3 mm allen screws.

The tolerences are pretty tight and you have the option of using filament for the hinge but its a pretty tight fit. The 1.7mm rod is much easier.

I added a blank bar to put in the slot to keep pills from falling into the slot while loading the pillbox.

If you print each of the three plates you will have enough parts for one box.

The cap screw used for the latches is 3x18 mm cap screw.

The metal rods for the hinges are 164mm x 1.7mm

Its time consuming to build these but they will last for years compared to the Dollar store verions. I current do my meds two months in advance so I am using 8 of these and love them.
