My version of Leela's wristband computer with holes for magnets to hold together
Used a stack of three 2x1mm neodymium magnets in each hole (24 total holes)
NEEDS a brim because of very thin bed contact Recommend printing upside down because of angle needed for support (see screenshot). Had best luck with 3 perimeters, 15% rectilinear infill.
If infill is printed too fast, piece has a chance of shaking off the bed. Slow it down further if this happens.
Post-Processing:
Sand, primer, sand, primer, paint, mask, paint, clear coat, HEEEEEYAH!
Super glue stack of three 2x1mm neodymium magnets into each hole, making sure a tiny amount of the magnet sticks up enough so it can contact magnet on the other half. Obviously need to be real careful about the orientation. Do this part at some point before the final paint coat.
