Description

Heavily inspired by a certain organiser system, I was not satisfied by the pricing and quality.

I designed this system for home use during our board gaming sessions. The design has a small hole on the side to allow the insertion of 3x1.5mm magnets to stack them on the table and be moveable as one unit.

The small ones have a little edge to allow nicely stacking them. The chunky tiles can not have this due to geometry limitations.

I usually add small rubber feet to the base to ensure they do not slide around. It also helps with stacking the trays.

Several designs are available:

Base tile with one hole

Base tile split into 2

Base tile spilt into 3

Base tile split into 4

Chunky tile

We usually use the chunky ones for snacks or to store the “bank” of tokens / markers / victory points.

The smaller ones are used by the players to organise their assets. I prefer the 3 split version in most cases. 2 trays usually cover most games / player.

If there is enough interest I'll add a system to store them nicely, and extend the design as requested. I've been thinking about card holders but we rarely needed them.

Print settings:

Whatever suits you. You can play around with the top and bottom layer settings to have different patterns.

I'd advise larger nozzles like 0.6 or 0.8. The photos were printed with 0.8 nozzle.

Print hollow to save on material. 20% infill should be plenty.

I prefer 3 perimeters to have a bit of extra rigidity. You can glue the rubber feet at the cornes (3 should be enough) touching the external peremiters. This way the feet would be inside the “bowls” when stacking and would allow nicer storage.
