Description
Overview
Drawing inspiration from the legacy lightsaber boxes, this print-in-place storage crate can be used to store anything you like. Additionally, you can add the tray inserts to utilize it as a modular storage or tool box. The lid can be securely closed with two magnets if required.

Love the box and will play with some different color designs. Question though having a problem with the inserts and the handles not printing well even with supports. suggestions?

I have updated the print profiles for the trays to include my support settings, for some reason I had missed them off.

Fun print, thank you for posting. I 'painted' in the indented parts, for a Dewalt Yellow PETG and Black PETG-CF combo. I dried the black filament a solid 20 hours before printing and it was still blobby, so I ended up with a big layer shift in the middle of the night, no fault to the design.
Oh well, it was a fun experiment.
The fit and hinge is really nice. There would be a few things I might change, but pretty happy with the design as is too. If I had done it in PLA, would likely be sweet. And I may do one.
Note in the pic, I had to custom size the prime tower, to make it fit at 100% scale.

great model and do like it a lot...
what i was surprised that the magnets absolutely do not match the description:
2x 3mm x 5mm
utmost 2x 3mm x 3mm magnets do fit...
but overall, great model. Thanks a lot

it’s actually happened twice now. I used the files provided and the settings that import into Bambu. printing on x1c… the odd thing is I’m guessing those joints should move but I can’t even use a pair of pliers to rotate them

I am struggling to get the top to break free from the hinge to close it. How much pressure should I need to use to get the hinge to work?

Base is perfect, however with no support the handle is v stringy on the bridging. Will get a better profile when near computer.
