I created a simple, yet effective version of a case for the Raspberry Pi 5.

well, I don't know if you have read the description: 4B+ and five should fit.
The model is referring to the "high performance" models like 4B+/5
in other words: No Pis with dedicated HDMI output.

I tried it with a 4B+ and it did not work. It feels like breaking the PI when trying to put it in and the lid is not staying on.

Could not insert PI4, not even with hard force. Case snapped.

Well, you have to insert the mini HDMI and USB Port first
