Description

I developed this to hold most of a 5m strip of LEDs, cut off or tuck in the remainder.

LEDs HERE https://us.store.bambulab.com/collections/led-strip-light?skr=yes

Super easy instructions:

Poke the wire through the bottom hole.

Remove backer and tightly stick the LED strip up the inner tube.

Put the parts together and plug in, so simple!

The remote receiver is outside the lamp and works perfectly!

Printed cover in white, transparent, and frosted transparent to see which I liked better. I still can't decide. Great model!

Printed using translucent PETG with supports. Highly recommend using PETG for the higher glass transition temperature and natural transparency of PETG. White works well, but the clear one with the slow “clear” BL profile works best with this model. Total print time was almost 3 days

I recommend using BTFlighting off Aliexpress "WS2812BEco white 60 led/m" strips as that one is low power and one injection point provides enough power without any major voltage drop on that strip. They are half the price of Bambu Labs version. I also recommend this controller "GLEDOPTO ESP32 WLED" off Aliexpress that uses WLED and has more features than the BL one. Power brick I recommend a 5V 6A with a DC barrel that plugs into the WLED ESP32 box. Here is the final build with transparent PETG, which I highly recommend for this project for maximum clarity.

Hey there! I was wondering what PSU you used to drive those LED's? I got some slight experience with those LED-Strips and i know that you need a beefy PSU to use them to their full extend.

I used a bad 1w charger and it got dimmer towards the end so I would recommend something bigger. On computer USB and a decent phone charger block it seemed ok.
