Description
Witch´s cauldron is a nice decoration with tea lights or a great candy pot for Halloween 2023!
Description:
This cauldron is designed for printing without an AMS. But of course you can use your AMS for this cool piece.
- At first print the parts ring and two handles. I used 0-2mm layers. Support is for the rings required.
- As second print the main cauldron. Attention: A print brake is necessary at layer hide 165mm by 100% scale and 82,6mm by 50% scale!
After the brake fit the ring on the cauldron. - Continue the print of cauldron.
- As third print the cover, called slime. For better printing and to avoid a huge amount of support material, I recommend to cut the slime in two parts and glue them after printing.
As example see my uploaded 3mf file, called “cauldron_100%.3mf”.

This was one of the best 3d print files I have printed so far. Bambu Labs P1S with Overture Pla Plus Purple, Falshforge Burnt Titanium High Speed and ERYONE tri-extrusion green, blue, and red

This came out great. 12 hours is a long time but, I love the way it turned out. I used green glow for the goo. If anyone is interested, I printed the large version, the print will stop at around 90% for you to put on the ring. thanks for a great cauldron!

Wonderful Halloween make. the only issue is the 2-piece poison print, it isn’t very strong, or else I need better glue. I can’t take a star because this really is great and prints super!
The articulated spiders are there for effect ~ LOL. Thank you for the cauldron.

unfortunately there were scaling issues the ring and goo bubbles never fit correctly

I can get a Pic in a bit husband is sleeping and don't want to wake him bit basically I scaled the entire project down to 80% because wanted shorter print time (used universal scaling so it should have worked correctly in sizing) but the gole ring wouldn't fit to go around the rim and the bubbles were too small to fit the opening of the cauldron

I printed this model at 100% scale and at 50% scale. I tested these two variants. In both cases, the whole project works well.
To fit the cauldron ring, a break in the printing process is necessary! I have prepared this break in my print profiles. Please read my printing instructions! For the scale of 80% you need to define the correct height for the break.
An other possible solution if you have an AMS is: Load the cauldron and the ring together and choose different colors for ring and cauldron. Then you can scale this model to a smaller size (please see attached pictures).
To be honest, I don't think your rating is fair. You change my print profile and then give me only two stars because something is wrong. You changed the profile!

Don't be a ding bat and not read the instructions before you print. Pay attention this needs the accesories first and has a built in pause. It all makes sense when you think about it. I printed 100% size and it's nice.
