Description

I designed this light box ON AIR because I wanted to be able to turn this sign on/off when I am working (from home) to indicate that I cannot be disturbed.

I used standard black PLA for the box, and opaque red PLA for the plate and natural transparent PLA for the letters.

For the light, I ordered a small self-adhesive LED strip, USB, on Amazon: https://www.amazon.fr/dp/B0BYNM7TZW?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

If you didn't find it, just look for a 1 meter long LED band working with USB.

The hole on the back allows a standard USB plug to come out normally.

I placed the plate upside down for printing because on a textured printing plate like on the Bambulab, it creates a very clean, very industrial design.

If you do not want to print it upside down, I advise you to check the smoothing of the upper layers for a smoother result.

Furthermore, very low infill allows light to pass through the opaque PLA (here in red).

Really nice sign - thank you! Unfortunately, the fit of the "On Air" insert is too tight and it's extremely difficult to slide the sign in and too tight to fit the lip on the far end so it doesn't insert fully. Either the sign needs to be 2 layers thinner or the groove needs to be increased to accommodate. Might try again scaling the insert to 98%. Edit - after jamming the insert in and letting it sit overnight, I'm able to get it in and out reasonably well with some force,

Other Issues:You can see the infill on the "on air" transparent side. Maybe increase top and bottom layers to get rid of the need for infill in the part that is supposed to be transparent.
