Description

Elevate your minifig display game with this revamped hexagon design tailored for larger and more intricate minifigures.

Key Features:
- Scaled Up Design: Perfectly sized to house larger minifigures, while maintaining the ideal wall thickness.
- Baseplate Upgrade: Transitioned from a 3x4 baseplate slot to a more spacious 4x4 baseplate slot, allowing for additional props and dynamic minifigure posing. (Please note: 4x4 baseplate not included)
- Enhanced Connectivity: Newly designed connections offer tighter tolerances for a more secure fit.
- Seamless Mounting Solution: With a closed-back hexagon design, these are optimized for double-sided Tesa powerstrips, ensuring a clean display on your wall.

Crafted with attention to detail, this design will surely make your minifig collection shine. Enjoy building and showcasing!

UPDATE - 28 December 2023

  • added a bunch of new configurations to save on material: 2, 3 and 4 combos.
  • added mounting versions for each
  • added closed versions for each for those who don't want to see the wall behind :)

UPDATE - 8 April 2024

  • added 4x3 versions for each hexagon so you can use the provided baseplates. I've kept the outside dimensions the same so all versions are compatible and can be mixed.
  • Renamed to Brick Minifigure Hexagons because… yeah :)

I was trying to make it fun for a kids room. it did make it harder to layout deciding what colors to go where. Then I told my boys not the same color figure in the same color hex. lol

What did you scale it down to for an A1 Mini?

I didn't, I just printed the single cell many times. the other ones were too large to fit on the A1 Mini plate. I'm still working on a way to attach them to the wall. I may just CAD up a dovetail connector with enough room for a 3M picture hanger velcro strip or something. Awesome design! thanks!

I use 3M command strips for this. Depending on the quality and finish of the wall you’ll need more or less. In the picture I’ve attached to this model you’ll see the spacing I used

I have had bad experiences with adhesive strips and therefore created a wall mounting kit. https://makerworld.com/en/models/177447#profileId-195187

Is there a version for regular baseplates? we have tons of mini figs with 4x3 plates, but no 4x4 plates to use for this.

These are great - I have printed 2 Open and One closed so far - However trying to get them in is a real pain. Even after hitting it hard with a mallet, the fit is not perfect. I am printing with an A1 with the suggested setting. Any ideas to make them fit better? Thanks!

Hmm they are supposed to be tight but not that tight ;) Did you check if the printing order was outer-inner-infill?
