Designed for storage in drawers with the option of having the caps up (use the “-peg” base .stls) or with the caps suspended downwards so you can see the paint colours from the bottles (use the base .stls without “-peg”).
Most designs I see for Vallejo/dropper bottle storage are designed for wall storage or desktop storage but that's not always convenient for folks living in or using small and confined hobby spaces where they need to clear their hobby surfaces between uses.
The rack will hold 12 bottles per print, and any subsequent prints can be nicely and easily joined together using the bases. Keep in mind, however, that this system is not designed with the intention of lifting the entire rack out of the drawers with each use and is designed to stay within the drawer instead.
Example print and files:
For a single rack of 12 bottles to suspend the bottles with the caps facing downwards, you need to print:
[1] – 17mlPaintBottleRack.stl
[1] – 17mlPaintBottleRack-Legs.stl
[4] – 17mlPaintBottleRack-CornerBase.stl
For a single rack of 12 bottles to sit with the caps facing upwards, not raised off the base of the drawer, you need to print:
[1] – 17mlPaintBottleRack.stl
[4] – 17mlPaintBottleRack-CornerBase-Peg.stl
The bottles will fit snug enough that they don't wiggle around but will also be easily pulled from the rack.
There's about 5mm of space between the base of the drawer and the cap of the bottles in the cap-down orientation.
Assembly is very quick and simple. Legs or the peg-bases slot into the rack, and if you choose to use the legs, the legs fit easily into the bases.
