Description

Summary

An attempt to create a reusable mold for a concrete (or plaster o other) pot for succulent plants. Made in fusion, printed on a dreamer, sliced with flashprint 5 (a simple and effective chain of work).
Printed in PLA vase mode or plain, next will be in TPU to make the demolding process simpler.

print 2 "guscio" to make a full mold exterior...

Notes:

work in progress. I guess that a TPU mold will work better for concrete. Anyway a demolder treatment (form kitchen oil to vaseline to silicone spray) is mandatory before using the mold.

mix the concrete a little on the fluid side...the space between outer and inner mold is narrow.

the clips are long. I printed it scaling the Z at about 15 mm long and using external dimensional compensation at about 0.1mm to make them shorter and match the wings of the mold. You can print them as long as you wish... the longer the better or multiple shorter clips...

How I Designed This

fusion 360
2 poligons, extrusions and twinsted in opposite direction, boolean joining, shell, adding the wings, sketched the clips and extruded them. clip the body with a central plane. added a simpler polygonal interior for cavity and set it up at 45 degrees fromg wings with small bump so it works as a clip itself.
