Description

This Headset Hanger fits desks from a height of 5mm to 40mm. Use the Long screw for desks thinner than 18mm.

I printed it with a 0.4mm nozzle and a layer height of 0.2mm with PLA on My Ender 3 which worked well for me. Also, I wouldn't use supports as they may mess up the threads and the threads print well without them. I would recommend printing this with more infill than standard prints for rigidity. Some people may need to do some trimming or sanding to fit the thread into the hanger as it is a tight fit but it is designed like that so it is secure. The maximum headset width is 4cm which is enough to fit most headsets like my SteelSeries Artis 1. Also, I would print the threads without supports as they are hard to remove and it prints just fine without them. I have also shared this design on Printables.com for convenience https://www.printables.com/model/361953-headset-hanger-v1.
By the way if you can see any issues with this design or anything that can be improved then please tell me your ideas in the comments section as I read all of the comments on my designs. Thank You.

UPDATE (V1.5) I have kept the thread the same so that if you were struggling with the screw before, you can keep the thread and print a new screw. I have adjusted the tolerance on the screw and have moved it by 0.1mm which will make a huge difference while still keeping snug. I have shown some images of the changes I made to the screw which may be helpful to some people. I have also added the CAD fusion files to this design with both new screws so people can make remakes of this design. Thank you for the support and feedback.

Not sure what I did wrong. The hole is too big that the screw is useless. Looks like flaw in design from other comments.

I love how the screw threads are on a separate piece, that way if you ever screw it on too tight and break the thread all you have to reprint is that tiny part. genius.
