I created this case for the Waveshare 7.9 inch touch screen in FreeCad. I used the 3d image of the screen the manufacture provided here to setup all the holes and dimensions. https://www.waveshare.com/wiki/7.9inch_HDMI_LCD#Drawing

The gap at the top of this is to accommodate the 90 degree HDMI adapter included with the screen. I am sure there is a way to make this a bit more snug with some type of snap on cover to clean it up a bit, but that is a little beyond my abilities thus far.

The “stand” portion on the front is angled high enough so I can see this over my keyboard, but it is also high enough that it could use supports on the back as it will tip. Luckily the HDMI cable coming out the slot did just fine for this purpose.
