Description

There are several ready-made projects for collecting waste filament from Bambu Lab printers, but having limited space behind the printer I designed the one that was right for me myself.

I also added a door that folds down to easily empty the container without having to remove it. In the closed position it is blocked by a simple C-shaped profile resting on the upper part. To allow this door to flip over, simply insert a paper clip (after straightening it), passing it along its entire length. Of course any material that fits the diameter of the holes can be used, you can try with a piece of filament.

In Bambu Studio I inserted the logo in relief, obviously the components can be customized as desired: material, colours, print quality, etc.

Only the second thing I printed on my new P1S. The first attempt failed but that was my fault. speed it and started again and it was perfect.

This is the first print I ever did and it ruined The printer that I was going to give to my son for his 13th birthday

How did the model ruin the printer? Can you give me more information? Maybe you used some wrong settings, but the printer has many sensors that stop printing in case of problems. Let me know, if there is any advice I can give you I will gladly do so.

Replying to @Noice :
Hi, sorry if I'm only replying now. The filament clog in the nozzle if the temperature inside the printer becomes too high (you have to remove the glass and open the door), if the filament is old and has taken on moisture, or if for some reason there are pieces of filament left in the nozzle . The nozzle can be easily unlocked, on the bambulab website you will find all the step-by-step guides.

Hi clobbie, surely you see strange layer lines (like me) because I set the adaptive layer height, unfortunately the aesthetic difference is inevitable...

When putting in the hinge filament the side wall broke. It could have been just a tad thicker.
