Description

A fish priest with an actual whack to it. Printed plastic alone is sometimes too light to dispatch a fish cleanly, so this one has a 77 cm3 weight chamber inside the head, sealed by an M33x3.5 threaded plug with a coin slot. Fill it with steel BBs for roughly 370 g of added mass, or dry sand for about 120 g, or you can leave as is without any fill and it should do the job for small fish. Made it for my own tackle box because I can never find a stick when I need it.

Specs (default): 300 mm long, 44 mm octagonal head, 30 mm handle with three grip grooves, pommel flare plus a 9 mm lanyard hole so it stays on your wrist over water. Chamber is a 31 mm bore, 92 mm deep with a tapered end. Plug threads are printed in place, no hardware needed.

Print settings, and these matter for strength: the file is pre-oriented lying flat (fits a 256 bed diagonally at 238 x 238 mm), no supports, and the layer lines run the length of the bat, which is the strong direction in bending. Do not stand it upright in the slicer or it will snap at the neck on the first hit. PETG or ABS, not PLA (PLA gets brittle in the cold and can shatter on impact). 6 walls minimum, 30% gyroid infill. The plug prints cap-down next to the bat. Wrap the plug threads with PTFE tape, or a drop of CA glue for permanent, so fine sand stays put.

Honest note: this is a fish priest, not a demolition tool. Filled with BBs it lands around 550 g total, plenty for trout through salmon. I have not torture-tested it against rocks.
