Description

This is my thin steam controller 2026 protective case that I designed. I often take the steam controller with my pc to a friend of mine so I wanted a thin case that's still protective. All the other cases that are available are too bulky for my backpack.

Features:

Cutout for usb-c and charging puck.

What to print:

1 top shell

1 bottom shell OR 1 bottom shell alternative

Depending on where you want to have the support scars, you may either pick the bottom shell or the bottom shell alternative.

What you need:

2 M3x12 screws

2 M3 Nuts

4 Round magnets 5x3mm

Assembly:

  1. Insert 2 Magnets into the round holes of each half and pay attention the the correct polarity.
  2. Put the two shells together and screw the M3x12 into the hinge around the trigger and bumper area.
  3. Optional: In the original bottom shell print plate are also 2 rectangular holes which need roughly 2.5mm high soft inserts so the closing is dampened. The rectangular holes can be modified in the slicer.

If you have feedback for better 3d printing supports, let me know!
