Description
Profile for clear (translucent) PC coupon printing.
- Hardware: P2S with a 0.8 mm tungsten carbide nozzle and Bambu Lab smooth PEI plate. The P2S is connected to an external exhaust fan, a Hon&Guan HI-100SD, for exhausting fumes during PC printing.
- Filament: Bambu Lab Transparent PC.
- Pre-processing:
- Dry the filament for at least 8 h in a Sunlu E2 Pro at 80 °C.
- Keep the heatbed temperature at 110 °C to increase the chamber temperature to above 50 °C.
- Apply glue stick evenly to the build plate.
- Post-processing:
- Apply UV-curing resin to bottom and top surfaces for better optical clarity.
- Key factors:
- 290 °C nozzle temperature and 110 °C heatbed temperature during printing.
- Printing speed below 10 mm/s.
- Large flow ratio.
- A small line cross-sectional area, e.g. (0.16 mm * 0.82 mm), which is near the lower limit of the tolerable range for a 0.8 mm nozzle.
