Description

This is a fully functional bongo drum. It produces the same tone that you would get from a storebought bongo drum of this size.

Everything is printed with PLA. It is plenty durable. Supports are not required.

The parts you will need are as follows:

7- M3x8 Screws
Nylon Twine
8 Gauge Clear Vinyl (very cheap at fabric/craft stores)

Assembly is easy. Simply sandwich a piece of the vinyl between the rings, poke holes through the vinyl for the screw holes, then screw it together. Trim off the excess vinyl from around the rings.

To attach the head it works best to tie one end of the twine to the loop on the drum head, then go ahead and run the twine through all the loops on the head. Set the head on top of the drum body and then route the twine loops down around the hooks on the body. Work around the drum, pulling the twine tight to stretch the vinyl in the drum head. Once the drum head is sufficiently stretched (you'll be able to hear the difference in tone), tie off the loose end of twine and then melt the ends so they don't come loose.

I never had issues with adhesion whatsoever. Did you make sure your bed was clean?
