Looks like a giant sandwich cookie, but satisfyingly twists apart into two functional coasters. A fun design that combines clever mechanics with everyday use. The key is a collapsible twist lock mechanism. Twist, Unlock, Enjoy!

Printing Tips 🖨️
Recommend 0.2mm layer height and use supports as shown below. I printed the tray in PVB and used IPA smoothing to achieve the glossy look, similar to how sandwich cookies are packaged.
Tray

Female Twist-Lock

Assembly Tips 🔩
Snap the Cookies onto the Male and Female Twist-Locks then lock them together to make your full sandwich cookie.
If the Male Twist Lock does not freely collapse and un-collapse, I recommend gently flexing the part to free the movable part. There should be sufficient air gap between the the print-in-place components, but if you have issues with them fusing together, check your bridging settings to make sure you're getting as clean of a bridge as possible with minimal sagging.
Please like it if you do and leave any comments! If you're really feeling generous please consider buying me a coffee so I can keep creating!
