Customizable frame system inspired by EduRobot beam - Modular Framing System by maffucci - Thingiverse

 

The included OpenSCAD models can generate beams, L-brackets, and T-brackets with adjustable dimensions and hole configurations. Together, these parts form a compact modular framing system that can serve as a lightweight alternative to aluminum extrusions for small robots, prototypes, educational projects, and mechanical assemblies.

 

You can customize the beam dimensions, length, hole spacing, hole diameter, and counterbore options. Similar parameters are available for the bracket parts. Simply use the Customize button to generate the configuration you need.

 

For use in CAD modeling software, STEP models can also be generated with the CadQuery version available in the GitHub repository: xingruiy/micro-frame: A flexible frame system for small research tasks. , assuming you have some degree of familiarity with Python.
