Recommended Print Settings & Materials
⚠️ Important: Because this mount lives outdoors and supports an expensive camera, do not print this in standard PLA, as it will warp and melt in the summer sun.
- ASA (Highly Recommended): The absolute best choice for outdoor utility prints. It offers incredible UV resistance and handles extreme summer heat without deforming.
- PETG (Great Alternative): Very easy to print, highly durable, and has excellent weather/heat resistance compared to PLA.
- ABS: Strong and highly heat-resistant, though it requires a heated enclosure to print reliably without warping.
- Infill: 25%–35% (Gyroid recommended for structural strength).
- Walls/Perimeters: 4–5 walls to ensure the screw holes and strap loops are completely solid.
⚠️ Ball Joint screw cap may wear down over time if not printed with high filament levels!
