Description
Wavy Mesh Vase / Trashcan — Parametric Design, Spiral Vase Print
I designed this piece in Rhino using a parametric Grasshopper definition I wrote to generate the flowing, wave-like ridge pattern across the surface. The geometry lets the ridges shift and overlap as they wrap around the form, creating a woven, almost textile-like look that catches light differently from every angle. I intended this design to be functional and used as a waste bin or trash can; however, it can be freely scaled to suit your needs.
- Nozzle: 0.8mm
- Mode: Spiral vase (single wall, no infill, no top layer)
- Outer Wall: 1.9mm
- Material: Bambu PETG translucent (Translucent Teal)
- Nozzle temp: 270°C
- Print speed: 20mm/s
These settings were used to achieve a crystal-clear print. Furthermore, the higher temp. and larger line width ensure each layer fuses more successfully with the layers below, making it far stronger and more functional.
