Container Gridfinity Case

A container style gridfinity case where all boxes can be replaced and taken out as a single container with their own lids.

• Demonstrated with 40 mm grid size. Case set as 3x4.
• Smallest grid size (unit): 30 mm
• Each box can be used as a single container.
• If you want to use the large case alone without the lids, lids are not required.
• You can put magnets on the containers and the lids to further secure the lid from sliding out.
• Choose the color you like!

Recommend printing setup

• 0.4 mm nozzle
• Layer height ≤ 0.20 mm
• Wall loops ≥ 3 (I use 4 or 5)
• Top surfacef pattern: Concentric
• Bottom surfacef pattern: Concentric
• Use outer brim on all large parts. Prevent warping at all cost. Boxes may not fit in the case if the surfaces are not flat.
• Brim-object gap 0.02 mm. Residuals can be cleaned using cutting knife or deburring tool.

Parametric Design

Using MakerWorld's Parametric Model Maker, you can select the dimension of your choice and generate the corresonpding model.

Magnets

You can put round magnets in the containers to further secure the lids. (normally they lock in pretty well though).

Set the height and the diameter of the magnet in the Model Maker.

5x2 mm magnets were used in the demonstration.

Simply apply some adhesive and put in the magnets in the holes!

Assembling

Note: If you want to stack containers on top of others in the case, you will still need lids for containers at the bottom.

Labels

You can put labels on the side of each container, or on the top of the case lid.

To customize your own label, the slots for labels are 20 x 15 mm, 2mm rounded, 0.8 mm thick.
