Dual flow / dual hose conversion kit - Rowenta Turbo Eco Sens+

This set replaces the original intake grille of the Rowenta Turbo Eco Sens+ mobile air conditioner condenser with a two-piece system, which is faster to print and uses less filament than a classic solid piece.

The set includes:

  • The cover that attaches in place of the original grille
  • The adapter that slides into the grille's grooves and positions itself by sliding over it
  • A connector for the hose (150 mm diameter), to be secured with a hose clamp

Recommended material: PETG (better heat resistance from the condenser than classic PLA).

Cover installation:

  1. Place double-sided tape all around the cover (on the entire perimeter).
  2. Glue the flat part of the cover onto the original grille.
  3. Using a hairdryer or a heat gun, heat the protruding part to thermoform it and make it conform to the grille's curve.

Adapter installation:

  1. Slide the adapter into the grille's grooves until it sits on top.
  2. Secure the hose (150 mm diameter) to the connector using a hose clamp to hold it in place.

This partial thermoforming system allows for a part that perfectly follows the grille's curvature without needing to print a complex geometry, thereby reducing print time and the amount of filament used.

Benefits: I personally observed a really significant gain in efficiency with this system on my air conditioner, both in print time and filament consumption compared to a solid part.

⚠️ Important: these parts are sized specifically for the Rowenta Turbo Eco Sens+ (Ø150 mm hose). If you use them on another air conditioning model, I am not responsible for any potential loss of efficiency or poor fit. The STEP file and Fusion 360 file are provided to allow you to adapt them to your own model.

I also provide the STEP file and the Fusion 360 file of the project, for those who wish to adapt it to another air conditioning model.
