Description

Flexi Crab | Print-in-Place Articulated Crab

A cute articulated flexi crab designed as a fun print-in-place ocean creature.

This little crab has a rounded friendly body, movable legs, flexible claws, and a detailed shell with raised plate segments. It works great as a desk toy, fidget toy, sea creature collectible, or a cute gift for kids and ocean lovers.

The model is designed to print in place with articulated parts, so the body, legs, and claws can move right after printing.

Features

  • Print-in-place articulated crab
  • Flexible legs and claws
  • Cute friendly face
  • Detailed raised shell pattern
  • Great as a fidget toy, desk buddy, sea animal toy, or collectible
  • Includes AMS and non-AMS print profiles
  • Includes versions for insertable eyes and printable eyes
  • Printable eyes can be printed directly with the model or printed separately and inserted

Recommended Filament

For best durability this flexi toy is recommended to be printed with PLA+, PLA HF, PLA Tough+ or PETG.
Standard PLA can be more brittle and may break if the joints are forced.

Tested with Bambu Lab PLA Touch+ and holds up well during regular play.

Important
This model is designed as a decorative flexi toy. The joints move freely but should not be forced beyond their natural range.

The eyes are designed as a tight press-fit, so no glue is required 🙂

To install them, gently press them in using the handle of a tool (for example, a support removal tool) — this gives better control and prevents damage.

If needed, you can slightly warm the part in your hands or scale the model up by 1–2% for easier insertion.

Recommended print settings

  • PLA, PLA+, PLA Touch Plus
  • 0.16–0.20 mm layer height
  • Clean build plate recommended for best articulation
  • Make sure the first layer is good so the small moving parts print cleanly
  • No supports needed unless your slicer/printer profile requires them

    Perfect for:
  • desk decoration
  • stress-relief / fidget toy
  • gifts for kids and adults
  • marine animal collections
