🎣 Magnetic Fishing Game
⚠️ DIY 3D Printed Project
Adult assembly required. Magnets and string are not included
Product Description
Enjoy a fun and engaging 3D Printed Magnetic Fishing Game that is easy to assemble and entertaining for players of all ages. This classic game helps develop hand-eye coordination, concentration, patience, and fine motor skills while providing hours of fun for children and adults alike
The game consists of three 3D printed parts:
- Fishing Rod
- Magnetic Hook
- Fish
The fishing rod and hook are connected with a piece of string. A small neodymium magnet is installed inside both the hook and the fish, allowing the fish to be caught using magnetic attraction
Once assembled, simply place the fish on a flat surface and use the fishing rod to lower the hook onto the fish. When the magnets come into contact, the fish attaches to the hook and can be lifted
The game is perfect for:
- Family game nights
- Children's playrooms
- Schools and educational activities
- Gifts
- 3D printing enthusiasts
Since all parts are 3D printable, you can easily print additional fish to make the game even more exciting or create your own custom designs
Difficulty Adjustment
The difficulty of the game can be easily adjusted by changing the length of the string
- Shorter string – Easier to control, making the game perfect for younger children and beginners
- Longer string – More challenging, as the hook swings more freely and requires better control and precision to catch the fish
This simple adjustment allows players of different ages and skill levels to enjoy the game without needing any additional parts
Required Materials
Before assembly, you will need:
- 2× Neodymium Magnets Ø6 × 2 mm
- Super Glue (Cyanoacrylate)
- String (30–60 cm recommended)
Assembly Instructions
Parts Included
- × 3D Printed Fishing Rod
- × 3D Printed Hook
- × 3D Printed Fish
Step 1 – Install the Magnets
Apply a small amount of super glue inside the magnet recess of the hook
Insert one Ø6 × 2 mm neodymium magnet into the hook
Repeat the same process for the fish using the second magnet
Important: Before gluing the second magnet, verify the magnet orientation. The magnets must attract each other, not repel. Test them first, then glue them into place
Allow the glue to cure completely before using the game
Step 2 – Attach the String
Tie one end of the string securely through the hole in the fishing rod
Tie the other end of the string to the hook
Adjust the string to your preferred length depending on the desired difficulty
Trim any excess string if necessary
Step 3 – Ready to Play
Once the magnets are securely glued in place and the string has been attached, your Magnetic Fishing Game is ready to use
Place the fish on a table or the floor and try to catch it using the magnetic hook
How to Play
There are many ways to enjoy the Magnetic Fishing Game:
- Catch the fish as quickly as possible
