Description

⚡ Ion / Plasma Thruster – Safety & Printing Information

Thank you for downloading this model! 🚀

This project is intended for educational and experimental purposes only. Please read the following information before assembling or operating the device.

🔧 Required Components

  • 🖨️ 3D printed parts (included STL files)
  • 🔌 5 V 2 A DC power supply
  • AEDIKO DC 3V–6V to 400 kV High Voltage Boost Step-Up Power Module
  • 🪡 Metal electrode (according to the design)
  • 🔩 Screws and mounting hardware as required

⚠️ HIGH VOLTAGE WARNING

🚨 This project uses HIGH VOLTAGE.

Even though the module typically operates at a low current, the output voltage is extremely high and can be hazardous.

Potential risks include:

  • ⚡ Electric shock
  • 🔥 Electrical arcing
  • 💥 Damage to electronic components
  • 🤕 Personal injury if handled improperly

❌ Never touch the electrodes while the device is powered.

❌ Keep away from flammable materials.

❌ Always wear appropriate eye protection and operate the device in a well-ventilated area.

⚡ Protect Your AEDIKO High Voltage Module

To prevent damage to the AEDIKO DC 3V–6V to 400 kV High Voltage Boost Step-Up Power Module, please follow these recommendations:

✅ Avoid creating continuous electrical arcs between the electrodes.

✅ Do not position the electrodes so close that a sustained spark is produced.

✅ Never short-circuit the high-voltage output.

✅ Operate the module only for short periods and allow it to cool between tests.

✅ Never leave the module powered unattended.

💡 Important: This module is designed to generate a strong electric field, not to produce continuous high-voltage arcs. Continuous arcing can permanently damage the module.

✨ Viewing the Plasma Effect

💜 The plasma glow may be very faint.

If you cannot see the ionization effect:

🌑 Turn off or dim the surrounding lights.

👀 Observe the emitter from the side.

💜 The plasma is usually visible as a faint purple or bluish glow.

This is completely normal and much easier to see in a dark environment.
