Description
I'm back with another larger sized ammo container! I've had a lot of requests to add additional calibers to my old design, Ammo Capsule 2.0, but that file is a mess and not easy to deal with. So I decided to just go back and make a new one based off of it's dimensions, but with a different look.
So here's the Legacy, aka Ammo Capsule 3.0. I changed the hole layout on some of the bases which allows for a few more rounds on some of the calibers, added a more grippy feeling texture to the outside, and now you can have a colored accent line if you wish. And the cool thing is that these stack perfectly with the older Ammo Capsule 2.0. They also have the same threads, and you can even swap the lids and bases between them in case you like one lid or base over the other. So if you have a collection of the older design, these will seamlessly integrate with them.
If these do well, I'll make a taller base and do a rifle caliber line too. Right now these are just for smaller and short rounds. It takes a fair bit of time to make these, so i just want to be sure it's worth the investment it before I go through all the effort. If you are interested in a rifle version, leave a comment below!

No real trick to printing these, they are super easy. I like using the gold textured PEI build plate for this model for the nice texture it gives. Just make sure it's really clean before you start printing. Print the bases with the holes facing down and the lid upside down. The accent ring can be colored with the paint bucket tool, the text is just slightly recessed and can painted a different color as well. Works well with PETG and will withstand heat better than PLA. You can add your own logo as well.
