Description
Designed this wall mount for my Ring camera and thought I'd share it.
This adapter allows the original Ring mounting base to be attached to a flat wall while retaining full use of the factory swivel mount. No modifications to the camera or the original Ring mount are required.
Hardware required:
- 2 × 6G × 1" countersunk screws to secure the bracket to the wall.
- 2 × M3 × 12 mm countersunk screws to attach the original grey Ring base plate to the printed bracket, as shown in the photos.
The larger centre hole provides easy access to the swivel adjustment screw, allowing the camera angle to be adjusted after installation without removing the mount.
The bracket is designed to print without supports and has generous fillets to provide good strength while keeping material usage low.
Printing recommendations:
- 4–5 perimeters
- 10- 20% infill (Gyroid or Cubic)
- PETG, ASA or ASA-CF recommended for outdoor use
Note: I don't recommend printing this mount in white. Although it matches the Ring camera when new, the camera housing itself isn't particularly UV stable and will yellow or discolour relatively quickly in direct sunlight. Printing the bracket in black, grey, or another UV-stable colour generally provides a better long-term appearance.
