Description
This model is a finger splint designed for 3D printing, with a light, flexible, and ventilated structure thanks to its honeycomb pattern. Its symmetrical shape allows it to adapt better to the finger after the molding process, maintaining good support distribution without making it too heavy or uncomfortable.
The hexagonal cell structure not only enhances the model's aesthetics but also helps reduce material, improve ventilation, and maintain good overall strength.
For printing, a 15% infill with a honeycomb infill pattern is used. Other settings, such as walls, top and bottom layers, can be left at the slicer's default values, as the model is designed to be printed simply and functionally.
Recommended Settings

- Supports: Not necessary, depending on print orientation

- Suggested Material: PLA or heat-moldable material

How to Use
Once printing is complete, it is recommended to place the splint in hot or boiling water for approximately 40 seconds so that the material softens slightly and can be molded.
Afterward, carefully remove it, wait a few seconds to avoid burns, and place it on your finger, which should be pre-greased with cream, petroleum jelly, or a mild lubricant. Then you can gently press and mold it until it takes the desired shape. A little lubricant can also be applied over it to assist with the adjustment process.
When the material cools, it will retain its molded shape and be ready for use.
