Variable Firewood Marker
Print Profile(1)

Description
After some demand for my 25 cm firewood marker, I have now developed a variable marking tool.
The tool is used to quickly and easily divide logs into pieces of equal length for later sawing.
It is used like a large compass. The spike is designed to be movable, so that all possible lengths can be adjusted continuously. By placing it at the end or at a marking, a circular arc segment (line) is drawn, from which the next mark is made.
Required Accessories:
-Stihl chalk holder
-Forest chalk
-2x M8 nut
-3x M6 nut
-3x Hexagon screw M6x15-20
-M8 threaded rod
-(Wooden) round rod diameter 16mm
Print:
I recommend ABS, ASA, or PETG as material. When printing, a total of 3 M6 hexagonal nuts and one M8 hexagonal nut must be inserted.
Assembly:
Insert the hexagonal screws into the handpieces and glue them in with superglue. Glue the hexagonal cover piece onto the screw head so that it is enclosed.
Saw off a piece (approx. 80mm) of threaded rod and sharpen it. Screw it into the spike holder and secure it with a lock nut.
Insert the round rod into the chalk holder end and fix it with a screw (do not overtighten, the plastic is not optimally loaded here [along the layers]).
Screw in the remaining screws and assemble according to the pictures.
Length markings can be manually provided on the rod.
