Description

This is a box/cage for putting a queen bee and a couple workers in. To complete this project you will need 1/16 inch mesh/net to put over the top, and a marshmallow.

Instructions:

1. Cut a 2 ½ " x 1 ½" piece of the mesh/net.

2. Cut notches about ¼" in from each corner (see picture).

3. Bend edges 90°

4. Stuff mesh in the grooves on the box.

5. (If mesh seems loose) drip Hot glue, Gorilla glue, Starbond, ect into the grooves.

6. Stuff a marshmallow in the hole farthest away from the half circle water holder and put the cap in the other hole (if it is to tight, use some pliers and twist it around in the hole to loosen it up).

7. (when capturing queen)  Use a straw and fill the water pot up, put the queen and a couple workers in a ziploc or something similar and cut a corner off, gently work the bees into the box and put the cap in the hole.
