Customizable Text Slide Box

Skip the hassle of adding text in the slicer! This slide box lets you easily customize text, length, width, height, and more right on MakerWorld. Just make your changes to the box, download, slice, and print
 

I’ve provided two different lid options that you can edit depending on how you want the final print to look:

Option 1: Text Facing Down (Recommended)

• This orientation allows the lid to be printed completely without supports.
• Instructions: Generate your custom lid, then download the Custom Slide Box_Blank Box.3mf file. Replace the blank box in the .3mf with your newly generated custom box, slice, and print.
• Bonus: Printing face-down gives the top surface of your sliding lid a clean, uniform finish utilizing the texture of your build plate!

Option 2: Text Facing Up

• Use this option if you prefer the top layers of your text to face upward during printing.
• Instructions: Generate your custom lid, then download the Custom Slide Box_Blank Box.3mf file. Replace the blank box in the .3mf with your newly generated custom box, slice, and print.
• NOTE: You must have your support settings turned on for this orientation!
