Description

Reusable Refill Spool for Bambu Lab Filaments

This reusable spool was designed specifically for Bambu Lab refill filaments and is based on the dimensions of the original spool. As a result, it is fully compatible with all AMS systems.

The key feature of this design is the ability to disassemble the spool at any time, regardless of how much filament remains on the refill.

Simply secure the refill using cable ties or other fasteners, as shown in the photos, and the spool can be safely taken apart. This allows you to store your filament refills without spools, saving valuable storage space and making filament organization easier.

The design supports straps and ties up to 12 mm wide. You can use:

  • Single-use plastic zip ties
  • Reusable hook-and-loop straps
  • Reusable rubber ties
  • Any other suitable fastening solution

Compatibility

  • All Bambu Lab AMS systems
  • AMS Lite
  • Bambu Lab refill filaments
  • Standard cardboard core refills (82 mm inner diameter, 60 mm width)

Printing Recommendations

I recommend printing the spool in ABS, as filaments are often dried at elevated temperatures. PLA and PETG may deform inside filament dryers.

Instructions

Please refer to the video for the spool assembly and disassembly process.
