Compact Insert Press

Here is the ideal compact vertical insert press to put on your desk or small workbench!

• Dimensions: 15cm wide x 21cm deep x 23cm high (30cm with the iron)

The insert press was made for the soldering iron from the Amazon kit below!

All screws and inserts used come from the Amazon kit:

You will need:

• 5 M3 inserts - 5 x 8mm
• 5 M3 screws - 8mm
• 4 M4 inserts - 3.2 x 2mm
• 4 M3 screws - 6mm
• Strong glue (the rail is glued to the press mast and the top blocker as well)

⚠️Important: the 2 springs must be printed with 100% infill

For my part, all black parts are printed in PETG Basic because they are more heat resistant

The Red and grey parts are in PLA Matte

Assembly steps:

1. Insert 4 M3 - 5 x 8mm inserts into the mast in the designated spots
2. Once the inserts have cooled, insert the mast into the plate and screw with 4 M3 - 8mm screws
3. Glue the grey rail to the plate and mast with strong glue
4. While the glue sets, on the guide, insert 4 M3 - 3.2 x 2mm inserts
5. Insert the remaining M3 - 5 x 8mm insert into the red arm
6. Once the inserts have cooled, screw the red arm with 4 M3 - 6mm screws
7. Screw the clamp onto the arm with an M3 - 8mm screw
8. Glue the black blocker at the top onto the rail and the top of the mast
9. Position the springs on each side of the plate and guide via the provided supports and insert the pins

⚠️ Small adjustments to all parts of the press may be necessary
