Description

A fully parametric OpenSCAD test grid for dialing in print settings. Each of the 16 raised pads sits at the intersection of one row value and one column value, so you can compare two parameters at once (by default: print speed in mm/s across the top, flow rate in % down the side) and read the labelled axes directly off the plate.

Use the Customize button to adjust it to your own test instead of editing code:

  • Row and column values (any numbers you want to test)
  • Axis titles and units, shown together (e.g. "Speed (mm/s)")
  • Pad size, spacing, height and corner rounding
  • Plate thickness and corner rounding
  • Border size and font size for the labels
  • Raised (embossed) or engraved labels

Print suggestion: 0.2 mm layer height, no supports needed - everything rises from a single flat base plate, nothing overhangs.

After printing, just compare each pad's surface quality (or whatever you're testing) against its row/column value to find your optimal setting.
