Description
Given the warm reception to my Micro Succulent Propagation Tray and its bigger friend, the Medium Succulent Propagation Tray, I started to wonder…how big can I make it?
Answer: with the limits of the A1 Mini print bed…still pretty big! Big enough that it doesn't fit the ledge where I have my leaves propagating! The Micro and Medium trays are included in the image for scale.
This chonky version has all the same features as its smaller friends, including:
- bottom reservoir for water, to increase local humidity to encourage rooting
- rounded corners of the reservoir, to make it easy to clean
- small lip at the edge, to prevent leaves from sliding off
- ledge bumps out that serves as a max-fill indicator
- aesthetic contours based on my favorite bonsai pot
The new version also has a small support in the center, to limit sag given the increased span.
While I made this mostly to appease my curiosity and for my own amusement, let me know how it goes if you print one! I would love to see it in action!
