Floating Alien - Maglev UFO - Free 3D Print Model

Update: Added a new profile with translucent filament addition to the ship. Also some minor changes to the cabin in order to improve light propagation. Enjoy!

The claw chooses who will go and who will stay!

I hope you like my new model in the levitation series! This time adding this beloved alien to the party!

I tried to create a fun and cute model of this green guy looking upwards from the controls of his ship.
The base for the levitation kit has been created to evoke the “Space Crane” claw machine from the movie. Added two versions of the cover, with and without holes. The hollowed one is to improve refrigeration:

For the Alien itself, since I only have one AMS and my machines are single-nozzle, I moved into printing it on white and hand-painting it. For those willing to, I provided a pre-colored version. Will love to see the output on an H2C!

The “Cabin” part is meant to be printed on a translucent filament to allow the light from the maglev kit to pass through. Added also a “Translucent Ship” version profile to improve the light propagation and adding light to the bottom of the ship!

Assembly is straightforward, but here it is a reel of the assembly and a picture of the pieces aligned:

Just one point on the assembly to take care of; the magnet on the ship needs to be placed following this disposition, otherwise the top piece will not fit and you can harm the cables:

Also added a helper to balance the ship with ease!
