This was a really awesome print, if you want a suggestion for a v2 I would maybe see if you can incorporate small nubs at the sides to allow the lid to latch even if it’s ever so sightly. Great work with the model!
printed it at 175% to put some Christmas items in. the lid is tough to get right. just make sure you have good adhesion. also, I just put a band of supports across the middle of the lid and let it bridge that surface. It worked well and save a ton of material.
I took a swing at painting it in Bambu Studio and printed it in 4 colors (Bambu PLA - Dark Brown, Latte Brown, Bambu Green, Dark Green). The Dark Green and Dark Brown pretty much look the same, could have saved a filament swap there and sped up print time. Came out pretty okay, I think.
printed really cleanly. support settings for the lid are excellent, minimal scaring.
I used a brown to green thermochromatic filament for the base, gives a nice effect when being handled or sat in the sun
