Adjusting Retraction Settings on Your Printer

To optimize your 3D printing results, it's essential to adjust the retraction settings, both in terms of length and speed. Here's how you can do it:

  • Set the retraction length between 0.5 to 1.5 mm/s. Start with a base value and adjust in increments of 0.5mm to see the effects.
  • The recommended retraction speed for direct drive is between 20-30 mm/s.

Experiment with these settings and observe the results to find the optimal configuration for your printer.

This test is helping me determine that the issue is probably wet filament or the temperature needs to be adjusted, since the others have much less stringing.

3 stars is average. 4 is good. 5 is very good. it wasnt mind blowing, so 5 is out of the question. in comparison to other stress/calibration test it was alright but doesn't beat them. so average(3 stars) was an adequate rating. thank you for creating and posting it.
