Description

This is Blue from Rainbow Friends. I printed him at 20% infill, with a .16mm layer height. .2mm would have been fine though. He is about 109mm x 49mm and 150mm tall. (about 4" x 2" x 6")

I used tree supports for his arms, between his legs, and under his chin. (touching baseplate only.) I put a support blocker on part of his head so there wouldn't be supports going around his eyes or mouth. They print fine without the supports there and it can be hard to dig out.

I’ll try to look into this more tomorrow. couple questions… Is that the same profile? is that a silk filament?

I never used silk with my profile, so maybe that is the issue. someone else who had a problem with it and added a picture also used silk.... Also, silk for this model is not the best choice. Even if it finished printing, I imagine the would be easier to break off the limbs. Silk is more brittle.

我把模型分体从新打印拼装出来了,可以节约很多时间和材料,身体打印得时候必须选择普通支撑不要用树状容易倒

I’ve tried this print 4x now, bunch of different settings. With glue, without etc. It fails everytime. I’ll re-rate when/if I can get it working.

yeah I’ve attempted with both types of support. I’m trying more settings and figuring it out. I had another print fail too so it’s likely not the models fault 😅 but most my other prints work fine. I’ll update my rating soon when I get it to work.

I just re-opened it from here, and there are definitely supports. They are enabled and shows they are tree supports. There is even a support blocker on his head... However, I did want to change the z-spacing and remove the support filament. I'll look at making the supports larger too and re-upload. That should give less trouble, but you shouldn't have had any supports at all.
