Boost Me (for free)

If you like my work, help me out by giving me a boost! Many thanks!

This is a model i first created in 2023. I got the idea in my car, and was just thinking, what if i could print an object as if it is frozen in time but shot by a bullet, like something in the picture below:

Thinking about it a bit more a ended up wanting to print a coffee mug, completely shattered and with coffee flowing out of the impact and exit zone, and a bullet projectile sort of floating in the center of the hole.

This was a very challenging project, and it took me a long time to complete. I had to create the shattered mug, add fluid simulations and turn them into something 3D printable. It required many iterations, and when I had something that i finally liked, I printed it and made a youtube short video about it that got millions of views.

People started asking me when I would share the model, but for a long time i postponed it, for multiple reasons. One of them was that I knew the model still needed some work but I was a bit burned out by all those fluid sims. But now I felt it was time to go back to it, complete it, and post it here on makerworld.

Please do me a favor, if you see someone selling this model somewhere else, please let me know!

I recommend printing this model on an H2D or H2C printer, to not wast too much filament. You can print this with the other printers (P1S, X1C etc) with an AMS unit, but since the same nozzle will constantly be switching from white to black and vica versa, the printer will purge a LOT of filament, probably as much as the mug itself.

For the assembly proces, this picture probably explains it all:

if you still want more detailled steps, see the assembly instructions in “documentation”

have fun with this model!
