Boosting is a great way to encourage me to create and upload fun 3d print model.
No Cheat Rock Paper Scissors!
Require Glue! Magnets (D6x2mm) x6 optional.
What is a good way to make sure your opponent is not cheating in a game of Rock Paper Scissors? A 3D printed one!
Building on the Yes/No Slider OG and Mini. Here's the Rock Paper Scissors Rotater!
The magnetic mechanism is added to give that satisfying snap but it's not really required. Minimum 4 magnets will work, but 6 will give maximum satisfaction. Without them just hold down the cover.
While trying to keep the model palm-size and the icon still visible, the connecting parts are a bit smaller this time. They can be snapped fit. With a bit of glue, it will withstand a small drop, and also prevent little ones from playing with the small magnets if they comes off.
ASSEMBLY:
The render should give you a good idea of how the pieces will fit. I've only found that I might need to file the connector on the very top to make it fit.
If you decide to use magnet, make sure the polarity is correct, these are the 3 compulsory magnets on the base assembly, where the icons go.
Below is the assembly for the rotating part.
If you want to save on magnets:
You can use ONE on the opposite end of the openning, or
Use TWO on the sides of the opening.
n/b: The magnet can be easily removed if you want to experiment with number of magnets.
WARNING: Make sure little ones are not near the magnets when assembly.
Three magnets will give that satisfying ‘magnetic snap’
The icons are easily swappable. If you don't have an AMS, change the icons to a negative, when if you do that, make sure the magnets on the Rotating parts are glued in place.
If you ended up printing this model, I will very much like to see the colour combination that you've come up with.
